Slowing down πŸŒπŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ’–

Mia, my ancient, German, Sourdough starter is teaching me a lot of things.

We rush so much in life and we are so freaking busy all the time.

I tried to rush this baby and it didn’t go well at first. It slowed down the whole process. I had to get up in the middle of the night to fold the dough and put it in the fridge and because my daughter was making her own loaf at the same time, she said I had to wake her too! She didn’t want to miss any part of it.

Strange beautiful memories leaving the caravan in the dark and cold to go up to a house to fold dough with my 8 year old at 1am πŸ˜΄πŸ’€

I felt it would form part of a core memory for her so I did it with a smile πŸ₯Ή

This is the finished loaf 🍞

You can’t rush what’s meant to rise in its own time.
